Shake Shack initially graced our presence with the delectable Bourbon Bacon Jam Burger in May 2022, and while the item has since been removed from menus, it is now available for a limited time at all U.S. stores.

The Maker's Mark Kentucky Bourbon featured in the jam is aged for six years and has vanilla, caramel, and oak flavors, according to Shake Shack, while the "real hardwood applewood" bacon in question is smoked for six hours before being utilized as an ingredient
Everything is served on top of the restaurant's distinctive non-GMO potato bread and 100% all-natural Angus beef.
When the burger cooperation was first announced, Shake Shack stated that it was attempting to capitalize on an existing popular ingredient: bacon jam.

As a result, the burger's return to the menu in 2023 may have been inspired by others. Burger King introduced the Maple Whisky BBQ King in 2022, a similarly sweet, delicious, and boozy sandwich prepared with cheese, crispy onions, and a maple whiskey sauce.
Wendy's had released its own whiskey Bacon Cheeseburger the year before, replete with American cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, crispy onions, and whiskey bacon sauce. Shake Shack is now re-entering the fray with a limited-time re-release of the Bourbon Bacon Jam Burger.
