Anyone scared they'll never sample Chick-fil-A's Southern Pimento Sandwich can relax. The corporation is releasing this menu item nationally three years after its experimental debut.
On August 15, Chick-fil-A introduced the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, the "first-ever twist" on its basic chicken sandwich, in stores nationwide starting August 28.
Chick-fil-A said on its website that the sandwich will be seasonal and limited-time. The dish consists of Chick-fil-A's chicken filet, pimento cheese, pickled jalapeños, and honey-drizzled toasted buns.
The sweet and savory ingredients make it appealing to customers, while the jalapeños add a zesty kick to a staple.
In 2020, Chick-fil-A tested the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich in North and South Carolina.
After several years without market test results, it seemed unlikely the Southern-style sandwich would ever spread. Chick-fil-A is trying the sandwich again this fall because it worked.
Look for Chick-fil-A's fall menu, including the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, among other seasonal specials.
The limited-time menu item, coupled with the new Caramel Crumble Milkshake, will help cool down the Southern-style sandwich at Chick-fil-A.
